Lead:​ On December 3, 2019, the annual Christmas Parade was held across from Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville. WC:​ 18 words

Second Paragraph:​ The streets of downtown Huntsville were lined with families at 6 p.m. waiting for the annual Christmas Parade to pass through and bring Christmas joy to the city. The Christmas Parade of 2019 followed the theme of Christmas Around the World, and each float was brought a different piece of the world to Huntsville. Despite the chilly weather, the crowd remained joyful throughout the entirety of the parade and shouted “Merry Christmas!” for all to hear. WC:​ 77 words

Third Paragraph: ​The Huntsville Christmas Parade was a pleasant surprise for many people who were attending Skating in the Park and were walking the Tinsel Trail, which was right along the parade’s path through downtown Huntsville, AL. “I didn’t know there was a parade tonight,” said Abrianna Lewis, a high school student from Tennessee that was attending Skating in the Park. “The Huntsville Christmas parade was a lot longer than the one in Fayetteville, Tennessee though.” The Huntsville Christmas Parade seemed to both have more floats and a larger crowd this year. Fourth Paragraph: ​The Huntsville Christmas Parade, which had floats from local businesses, churches, and schools, drew a large crowd this year. Despite the cold weather, the crowd remained cheerful and in the Christmas spirit while watching the parade. “I’m glad there is hot chocolate at Skating in the Park,” Emily McDowell, a local resident of Huntsville, said. “With how cold it is outside, I will definitely be buying some after the parade is over.” WC: ​72 words
