On Monday, Sept. 30, Lincoln County High School held their annual College and Career Fair. open to all Lincoln County and Moor County students in grades 9-12. The Community College and Career Fair was held in the commons area of LCHS between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. There were representatives from Lincoln Memorial University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Auburn, Columbia State, Tennessee Tech University, Tusculum University, University of Montevallo, Carson-Newman University, University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Maryville University, University of Alabama,
Middle Tennessee State University, University of Memphis, Athens State University, Cumberland University, University of Tennessee Southern, East Tennessee State University, Freed-Hardeman University, Austin Peay State University, Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Shelbyville, Motlow State Community College, King University, University of Tennessee Martin, Milligan University, Lee University, University of Arkansas, Johnson University, Fayetteville College of Cosmetology and Science, Southeast Lineman Training Center, Calhoun Community College, University of Tennessee in Knoxville - School of Agriculture, and Copperweld. There were also representatives from the branches of the military present at the Community College and Career Fair.
Following the Community College and Career Fair, LCHS also held a Financial Aid Seminar in the LCHS auditorium from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. At the Financial Aid Seminar, information from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) was presented to all of the senior students and their parents or guardians. This information included postsecondary education planning, insight into the Tennessee Promise program, and the process of filling out the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is needed to receive the Lottery scholarship, the TN Promise, the Wilder-Naifeh grant, and any state or federal financial assistance.
